1920s-1930s, homesewn.
Head and arms in elastoline. The head has hand-painted hair in a short, brown bob hairdo and hand-painted facial features, cracks. One hand is missing and the other is missing fingers.
Lace bonnet with a red ribbon. Blouse in watered rayon, faded. Vest in black velvet, banded with red and white cotton fabric printed with dots and rings, faded. Skirt in black velvet with a border of lace. Apron of light pink muslin with a printed pattern of flowers and rings, very ragged.
The head is attached to a padded torso with a patterned, mottled fabric. The elastolin shoulder section is cracked. The tea cozy/petticoat is sewn in a plaid, quilted cotton fabric and is in good condition.
In short: an item that requires love and care.
